Dragons’ Den series four has just finished airing on BBC 2, and the production team is looking for new candidates to appear in series five, filming over the summer.
“Dragons’ Den is a challenging place to pitch but it’s also a genuine business opportunity to secure investment”, a researcher for the programme told us.
Entrepreneurs can ask for any amount of money - in return for selling equity in their business. But they must succeed in getting the full amount or they will walk away with nothing. The Dragons are prepared to listen to pitches for any kind of business, but they won’t invest in anything until convinced that it will make THEM money.
